Mapping a network drive

M1 Standard Drive names and locations:
P Drive: \\m1fs\shares\Public
R Drive: \\m1fs\shares\Human Resources
Q Drive: \\m1fs\shares\Accounting

1. If you are remote you must first login to VPN. (click here to see instructions for installing VPN: http://wiki.m1services.com/books/vpn/page/installing-vpn-on-windows)

Open File Explorer and select This PC.

hit map button

2. Click the Map network drive button in the ribbon menu at the top, then select "Map network drive." (This is under
the Computer tab, which should open automatically when you go to This PC, as above.)

3. Select the drive letter you want to use for the network folder, then hit Browse.

4. Type in the path of the network share you want to map (see commonly used shares at the top of this page)

5. Confirm your selection.

If you are stationed offsite (not just traveling away from the home office) you must check "Connect using different     credentials" and click Finish. When the login box appears, you must select "other user" (might have to click "more options" first) and type in m1services.com\yourusername into the login box. Your username and password is the same as the one you use to login to vpn.

When you're done, you should see the new drive letter under This PC and will be able to access its contents like you would
any other folder. If you want to disconnect the network drive, right-click on it and select "Disconnect."
